Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP), 250 Hours

I. Theory and Approach:
      A. Cautions and contraindications
      B. Hygiene
      C. Ethics
      D. Maintaining client records and obtaining client history

II. Holistic Health Practitioner Program Content:
     A. Sound Healing: Students are introduced to the qualities of harmonious sounds emitted by tuning forks and Tibetan singing bowls. Frequencies theories are discussed. 20 Hours
     B. Homeopathy: The principle of “like attracts like” describes basic homeopathy, a medical compendium in many countries. This course enables students to determine homeopathic remedies for wellness and to make basic recommendations for client’s needs. 30 Hours
     C. Flower Essences: Students learn the basics of the 39 Bach Remedies (available in most health food stores and outlets) and dozens of alternate flower remedies. Instructions for growing, flower selection, kinesiology, blending, preparation and applications are taught. 30 Hours
     D. Ayurvedic medicine: Students learn to determine “body type” (or “dosha”) for the enhancement of health using the East Indian tradition of healing with specific herbs (Chai Tea with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg is a prime example) and techniques for achieving proper balance of “Vada, Pitta and Kapha.” 50 Hours
     E. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique): This course describes the system of tapping along the acupuncture meridians of the body to release emotional blockages that can result in pain and illness. 20 Hours
     F. Cranial-Sacral Balancing: Students learn a form of bodywork that encourages the body’s own healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of trauma or stress. Works perfectly with massage and/or shiatsu treatments. 50 Hours
     G. Yoga: Students learn traditional Ananda Yoga with postures, breathing exercises, history, meditation and chakras. Upon completion, the student will be able to lead a beginning class in yoga. This course is taught in one and one/half hour segments. 25 Hours
     H. Tai Chi: Students learn the basic method of harmonizing and balancing the body’s energy system.
